A recent Galaxy poll of 1000 daily medication users found that when seeking information about a medicine many more people (82%) rely on their doctor for advice and information than do those who rely on their pharmacist (59%). In fact, pharmacists’ even trailed behind the internet (62%) as a source of medicines information. A far greater percentage (66% compared to 18%) regarded their GP as the most trustworthy source of medicines information.
