AMA President on 9 News - Sugar tax

Obesity is the biggest public health challenge facing the Australian population. The Federal Government should show leadership and implement a multi-faceted strategy to address this serious health threat. Advertising and marketing of junk food and sugary drinks to children should be banned, and a tax on sugar-sweetened beverages should be introduced as a matter of priority.
