AMA(SA) Council - Orthopaedic Surgeons' Representative

Professor Krishnan is the Chair in Orthopaedic Surgery at Flinders University and Senior Clinical Director of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery in the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network. Jegan's career has also led him to being an orthopaedic specialist at the Edinburgh Air Force Base.

Jegan's sub-specialty is hand and upper limb surgery.  He has been involved in the Repatriation General Hospital for many years, running clinics, operating, and setting up the research department. He spent five years as an examiner on the Court of Examiners, Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. 

His keen interest is in developing and organising training of orthopaedic surgeons in countries such as India, China and Africa, where he is involved in lecturing, live surgeries and workshops. He is involved in curriculum development in Malawi, Zimbabwe and Rwanda with Specialists Without Borders.
